4 Guys and a Plan
Back in February my brother (Brandon) and I (Brent) wanted to take an extended sports trip. After much discussion we decided to do 4 MLB games in 4 days in 4 cities. After printing off the schedules and lining up games we settled on August 4th-7th, making stops in Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. We asked 2 friends (Tanner and Cory) to join us to help keep costs of gas and lodging down. Tanner misunderstood the last stop and thought we would be going to Philadelphia. It was then we realized we could extend the trip to 5 games, and after that realized we should also make a stop in New York, so our trip became 6 games in 6 days in 6 cities.
We began shopping around for tickets and were able to get tickets for all 6 games for $271 each. From there we loaded a cooler with Brats Burgers and snacks, got a small propane grill, packed some clothes and set off. We decided we would stay in cheaper hotels in smaller cities between games to help keep costs down and split up the driving time. We set out at 4am on August 4th for 6 days.
I go on a baseball trip every year hitting Minor League ballparks. The prices are great, usually getting a front row seat for under $10. They usually have some morning games also, so we an usually get seven games into a five game span. This year we saw seven games, two baseball museums, and the Field of Dreams. Good stuff. Also a better chance to interact with the local fans and players.

The trip is something I have been wanting to do for awhile. Maybe next year with the family. This year we only saw one new stadium Kauffman Park in KC. Excellent ballpark if you have never been. Look forward to hearing about your trip.
